Mike Metzger symbolizes the tradition and belief that is not normally shown in a sport like Freestyle MX that gives out outstanding players. Metz, as he is popularly known by friends and family, has had a greater influence and impact to the sport of Freestyle MX than anyone else. The Metz was able to execute a legendary back-to-back backflips at X-Games 2002. One more memorable trick that he was able to perform was the 125 feet backflip over the Ceasar Palace fountains in Las Vegas last May 2006.

X-Gamers both fans and players alike know and respect him like no other. Even though he is not riding competitively anymore, his credibility as a renowned and respected figure is backed-up by 3 Gold and 2 Silver X-Game medals. Metzger Unlimited and the MOB Syndicate is the premier company and group that can and will lead the future of Freestyle MX as a brand and a renowned name that people all know.

Metzger, also known as "The Godfather" wants to interpret the Freestyle MX sport into a well known idea that everyday people will be able to understand and appreciate in their own way.

How does he plan to do this? Through MOB Syndicate.

MOB Syndicate is the Godfather's own Freestyle MX riding team created last 2009 through the gathering of the many up-and-coming riders with the love of the sport and potential to be great. The MOB Syndicate is currently more of a demo team comprised of Anthony Murray, Brody Wilson, Chuck Carothers, Destin Cantrell, Matt Buyten, Julian d'Usseau, Nick Dunne, Vinnie Carbon, John Reiser, Thomas Alves, Robert Distler, Wiley Fulmer, Steven Haugalstine, Keith Sayers, Rich Kearns and more.

The MOB Syndicate's goal is to have the respectability an organized crew can give to the Freestyle MX image by going to worldwide places and represent themselves and the sport in a very professional demeanor. In order to be able to accomplish this, they plan to drive the market for Metzgers Unlimited merchandise, products of partner companies, and talent bookings for riders.

This is only the beginning for the future of Freestyle MX. With other teams being formed or already existing, it is only a matter of when before the Freestyle MX scene becomes an organized syndication of the Action Sports genre.
